The Utah Speculative Fiction Council (UtahSF) and the Westercon 67 Organizing Committee welcome you to Westercon 67: Trailblazers to the Future. This pages lists the various policies of Westercon 67, and all attendees agree to follow them by purchasing or receiving a membership. We appreciate your cooperation in observing these rules.
In order to keep Westercon 67 a safe and secure place to have fun, we ask your cooperation in following these guidelines. Westercon 67 reserves the right to confiscate any badge and remove any person from the convention area for violation of these rules and guidelines, and to revoke any membership for any reason deemed appropriate by the Chair. In a nutshell, all of this boils down to implementing Wheaton’s Law across the board.
Westercon 67 takes any harassment very seriously as it will generally prevent the recipient of that harassment from enjoying the convention. Therefore, if you have been the recipient of any sort of harassment, please contact any Westercon 67 staff member immediately so we can address the issue promptly. You may also email the Chair directly at chair@westercon67.org.
Please note that these policies, rules, and guidelines are subject to change at any time without notice (though we will generally try to update these pages in a timely manner should something change):
By reference, all the current Westercon Bylaws and Standing Rules are incorporated into these policies.
The information on this page was adapted (and, in some cases, outright cribbed) from the similar information posted on the Westercon 66 Code of Conduct page and the RUles and Guidelines generally published on CONduit’s program book. They both did great jobs with wording the information and we saw no reason to change it much since we are all part of the same fandom.
If you have any problems or concerns relating to your enjoyment of the con, or if you have any questions regarding these or any other policies at Westercon 67, please contact Convention Operations, Security, or email the chair directly at chair@westercon67.org.
